USA Fit Bellingham Triathlon Program
USA Fit Bellingham Triathlon was started through Bellingham Fit to help
people explore the great sport of triathlon - swimming / biking / running. Whether you've done a
tri or just considered it, we'll help you reach your goals and have fun along the way.
The variety of sports in triathlon is a great way to keep training interesting. All
fitness / ability levels are welcome!
The Tri Training Program is designed to give new or inexperienced triathletes all of
the tools they need to complete a sprint distance triathlon. Recognizing that
members will be all different fitness levels, have different goals, and
strengths / weaknesses, the daily training program will be customized to suit the
program member and their own personal goals.
We are training for either
the Lake Padden Tri on June 28th or the Clear Lake Triathlon on July 12th. The Lake Padden
Tri includes both a competitive and a recreational division, so there is something for everyone!
The general format of the USA Fit Bellingham Triathlon program is as follows:
- Two organized training sessions each week: Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. Sunday's session will
include rides, swims, and brick workouts.
- Wednesday sessions will include seminars on training, stretching, nutrition or other
related topic to help
you learn the fundamentals of successfully improving your
fitness.
- Sunday morning group rides
- Lots of time for discussion with your fellow members
and instruction from your coaches.
- A schedule of workouts to be completed each
week on your own, or if you choose, with other members of
your training group.
USA Fit Bellingham Triathlon and Cycling is part of the USA Fit program, which began in 1989.
The USA Fit programs have improved the health, fitness and wellness of thousands of people each
year. Our USA Fit Bellingham Triathlon and Cycling Head Coaches are certified by USA Fit, and
are CPR and Sports Safety trained. Each coach has successfully
completed triathlons themselves. Come out and join us and see
